EEOC Receives Extra $23M to Help Reduce Case Backlog

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission will receive a $23 million increase in its annual funding to help reduce its case backlog, Congress decided at the end of 2009.

 
In a report, the commission said it has a backlog of more than 85,000 pending charges — about 12,000 more than it had the previous year.
