HR State Law

map of usaThe full text of labor law statutes and regulations in every state

HR State Law includes the labor law titles and other employment-related provisions included in the state statutory codes and administrative codes made available to the public by all fifty states and the District of Columbia. For the small number of states that have not organized regulations into an administrative code, HR State Law includes the provisions of approved labor regulations.

UPDATING SCHEDULE.  HR State Law Includes the most recent versions of each state's statutory and administrative codes. Each state follows its own updating schedule, so you should consult legislation recently enacted by state legislatures and regulations recently approved by state agencies to confirm that any particular provision has not been revised or repealed.

UNOFFICIAL VERSION.  While we have made every effort to provide a complete and accurate version of U.S. state law, this publication does not represent an official version of the state laws and regulations.

FORMATTING.  States employ a wide range of formatting and numbering systems in presenting their state statutes and regulations. We have retained the numbering and labeling systems of each state, but in some cases have added formatting (including indenting and boldface type) to facilitate browsing and reading.
