New DOL Solicitor Confirmed; Filibuster Defeats NLRB Nominee

The U. S. Department of Labor (DOL) has a new solicitor but President Obama's nominee to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) went down to defeat.

The U. S. Senate voted Feb. 4 to confirm Patricia Smith as DOL Solicitor 60-37.
